Evaluation
I enjoyed working in Animation- Ish and creating an animation. My animation is called ‘Babgy’s Journey’. I spent the first few weeks of my assignment planning, working on my blog and getting to know Animation- Ish. The past three weeks I have been focusing on getting my Animation finished and I have been updating my blog, here and there. This really helped me create y animation because I knew what I was going to do in advance and was organised. I researched many animations but only three caught my eyes: Eeyore, Bolt and Po. They are very inspirational and you feel like you know them because their personality is displayed through their looks, habits and the way they are presented. These three animated characters helped to get me thinking about what I wanted my end result to be and what style did I want to create. This research helped me immensely in the creation of my animation. I encountered a few problems in my planning. First I was stuck about what characters I should use and if I should use Babgy or not. Then I had to try and come up with a story board that only had six boxes to write in (not enough boxes, I had to squish it to fit it in. I found that a big problem at the time.). I over came the first problem by researching animations and finding, Eeyore, Bolt and Po. I overcame the second problem by putting a few steps into one box. I encountered a few problems during the creation process. I could not find out how to put Babgy onto Animation- Ish (I found out soon enough). I hired a laptop that did not have the character I needed on it (there was nothing I could do about that). I also forget to save my work a couple of times but recovered my documents (thankfully). I am very happy with my final result. I feel that I worked very hard this term and put all my effort in this assignment. I am satisfied that I am finished my animation and can watch it whenever I want. I would change the fact that there is only one character in the ad, I would extend it and bring in some more characters that would be in the movie along with Babgy. I think that Pixur would buy my character because she is cute, fun, very creative and a magical creature. Kids would love to see this cute, friendly and fun creature in a movie. If I could start again like I said I would make up more than one character to put into my add and hope that ‘Pixur’ would love them. I loved working on this project and was glad to see Babgy finally come to life!
